Jer. 17:7-8 “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord…They are like trees planted along a riverbank with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruit.”
This is such a positive message to us at New Life. As we continue to trust in the Lord and continue in His Word, our roots will be planted deeper into the soil. We will be like trees planted along a riverbank. Our roots will be so deep that even in the midst of drought and heat, our roots will soak up enough moisture to keep our leaves green.
Regardless of the circumstances around us–sickness, financial needs, rebellious children, or season of loneliness–our leaves will stay green and keep producng fruit in every season. If you are beginning to feel the effects of the “heat of the trial,” push your roots further down into God’s Word and into His Presence.
