Message for July 3, 2022 from Pastor Shirley

Tomorrow our thoughts go toward the freedom we have in America as we celebrate July fourth.  This day we remember those who have sacrificed for those freedoms we have and the ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives.  As I remember the lives of those who gave way for the freedoms we have in this country my thoughts go toward the one who paid the ultimate sacrifice with his life for our spiritual freedom-Jesus the Son of God                                         

From the moment we first believed Jesus forgave us, our spirit was literally crucified with Christ in the spiritual realm, buried, and then raised back to life as a new, perfect, sinless spirit.  We got a brand new spirit.  Our spirit is free from the power of sin.  That is some shouting words there!              

The late Dr. Adrian Rogers said, “The me I see is the me I’ll be”.  Get rid of that ole stinking thinking sin mentality and see you as God sees you.  God does not call you a sinner saved by grace.  He calls you his child, beloved, accepted, righteous.  Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”  Galatians 2:20                                                             

John 8:36   “So if the son sets you free you shall be free indeed.” You have been set free by the blood of Jesus who paid the ultimate sacrifice, believe it, receive it, accept it, and walk in it.
