“And being fully convinced that what He had promised, He was also able to perform.” Roman 4:21 (NKJV)
As of yesterday we have finished three months of this present trial. In the beginning we figured that three months would see us through, and we would be back to business as usual. This has not been the case. It seems that we have at least that much longer to go. This tests our confidence and faith.
The scripture I referred to earlier is in reference to Abraham believing God’s promise concerning Isaac. As with us God never set a time limit. He just said it would happen. In Mark 16 Jesus said, “…they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.” There was no time limit given on the recovery.
I am in the process of recovery. God is in charge of the time frame. It could be an instantaneous miracle or a medical procedure. The real issue is “believing that God will do what He said He would do.”
I am confident that God is at work in all of us because we all have a part to play in this recovery. It is my responsibility to believe and rest in Him. It is your responsibility to continue to be faithful in your calling.
Don’t allow time to interfere with your faith. Remember, God is in charge of time, and He is never late. Continue to be faithful, and we will all see the victory. It is a promise!
