Message for September 29, 2013 from Pastor Shirley

“Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea, And does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. Mark 11:23

Jesus tells us,”whoever says to this mountain.” Talk to the mountain. To some that sounds a little crazy, but yet that is what we are told to do. When we study the ministry of Jesus. we read where He talked to things and now He tells us we can, too.

A mountain is a situation, a circumstance that stands in our way thus becoming a hindrance. The mountain is anything that is adverse or contrary to the Word of God for your life. When we are faced with these things, most Christians pray to God about the mountain. They spend most of their time praying to God about how bad it is, how big the problem is, and  for Him to do something about it. There is nothing wrong with discussing things with God. Sometimes He is the only one you have to dump things on; so go ahead.  He has some really big shoulders. But after all that your mountain is still going to be there.

Jesus tells us to speak directly to the mountain and tell it to be removed. Then He goes on and tells us not to doubt in our heart but believe that what He says will take place. What is the mountain in your life? What holds you back from going forward and fulfilling God’s plan? You say! You speak! Give your words an assignment against that mountain. Speak to sickness and disease and tell it cannot stay in your body. By the stripes of Jesus you are already healed. Speak to doubt, worry, fear, anxiety and tell them to be gone. We have not been given a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. Speak to poverty, debt, lack tell it to be gone. But my God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Speak to that wayward son/daughter to return to the Word that was sown in them as a child. “I have raised by child in the way he/she should go, and that Word will not depart from him/her. They will return to that Word and fulfill their purpose.” When you start speaking to those mountains and not doubt, there are things in the unseen realm taking place in your favor. Get ready, get ready and put your praise on. The best is yet to come!!!!!
