Gods wants to give you a fresh drink today!

If you have been baptized in the Holy Ghost your initial infilling was the first drink of many.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:18…be filled with the Spirit. Bible commentators point out that the Greek present imperative tense is used in this verse. It has the implication meaning  of a continuous replenishment, an ongoing and repeated filling. A accurate translation would be something like:“…go on being filled.

In Acts 2:4, it says, “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.” But then again in Acts 4:31, it says of many of the same believers,“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.” Sounds like a Ephesians 5:18 experience— they received another filling, a replenishment, another drink.

What is the condition for this repeat filling in Acts 4:31?

Acts 4:24, 29-31 When they heard  this, they raised their voices together inprayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”  After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

We can see that the refilling came as they prayed to God for more— (1) bold preaching … (2) healings … (3) miraculous signs and wonders — all in the Name of Jesus. If they had been content to rest in their initial, Acts 2:4 Holy Spirit anointing, they would not have asked, they would not have received —“Ye have not because ye ask not” (James 4:2).

Jesus  spokeinJohn14:12of believersdoingtheworks that He did and even “greater works.” We need the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and a …go on begin filled experience to be able to accomplish this.

How do you find yourself today? Do you find yourself somewhere between your own personal Acts 2 and Acts 4? Have you continually been filled since you first received the Holy Ghost? Do you need a fresh drink,a replenishment today?

John 7:37-39 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” By this he meant the Spirit….
