Message for September 22, 2019 from Pastor Shirley

Many places in Scripture tells us of the faithfulness
of God. Lamentations 3:22-23 “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
The Hebrew word translated “faithfulness” means “steadfastness, firmness, fidelity.” The opposite of being faithful is to be ever-changing. David relates the Word to God’s faithfulness in Psalms 119-89-90 “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations.
If God spoke something a thousand years ago, it still stands. For I the Lord do not change. Malachi 3:6 As we read the Word we see His faithfulness coming through time after time. And as we began to grow in relationship with God we learn to trust His faithfulness.
It is the enemy who comes to throw fiery darts at our mind to get us to doubt His faithfulness. As God told the Israelites over and over, “remember what I have done.”
I want to put us all in remembrance of the faithfulness of God in the message today. Let faith arise we are ignited with hope of the faithfulness of our God!!
