We are in the process of promoting the ministry
of the church here at New Life for the Nations ending with our Ministry Fair on
Sunday morning, October 30. We will be showing you all the potential to be part
of the ministry here at New Life. To understand ministry you must first
understand the nature and purpose of the church and our part in
it.
My first question is, “What is the work of
ministry?” (Eph 4:12) The five fold ministry of apostles, prophets,
evangelists, pastors, and teachers is to equip the saints for ministry.(Eph
4:11) Ministry is not what a select group of people do full time for the
church, it is what the members of the church do for each other and the
world.

Ministry is the daily endeavor by the “Body
of Christ” to represent Jesus Christ as His body. Every Believer is part of the
body and has a “work” to fulfil. We are all called to contribute our time and
talents to the ministry of reconciliation started by Jesus and carried on by His
Body, the Church.

good, but may not be part of the purpose of the church. The central purpose of
the church is to prepare people to love God, serve Him, and overcome the world.

be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly
places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus
our Lord.” Eph.3:10-11
