Message for March 9, 2025 from Pastor ShirleyDaniel was a mighty man of God. The Jews were in captivity to the Babylonians, Medes, and Persians. In Daniel chapter 2 through prayer he interpreted Nechaadezzr’a dream and in chapter 5 we read the handwriting on the wall. In chapter 6 we read he was delivered from the lion’s den. As we continue to read the story of Daniel we see that he did not get the same results every time he prayed. In Daniel 9 we read Daniel had only prayed for a few minutes—and was still in the middle of his prayer—when the angel Gabriel came with a answer from God’s . We read in Daniel 10:1–11, Daniel praying another prayer. He prayed and fasted and it took three weeks to receive and answer! However the prayer was with very different results. Daniel prayed and fasted, and it took three weeks to receive an answer. Did God change-no. Hebrews 13:8 tells us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”. In Daniel 10:12:13 we find the answer in why the prayer was delayed, “Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me.Next Sunday’s Word – When Prayers Are DelayedComments are closed. |
