Job 22:28 “You will also declare a matter, and it will be established unto you; and the light will shine upon your ways”.
Psalm 2:7 “I will declare the decree the Lord hath said unto me”.
A “decree” is a formal order or command from someone in authority, while “declare” means to state something clearly and forcefully, often something that already exists.  A Biblical declaration is the announcement of something that has already been established (decreed) by God.  The decree is the promises of God and the  promises are found in the Bible. Even when we receive a prophetic word from God it is His decree.  We should also declare the things we hear prophetically from God.                   2 Cor. 1:20 “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us”.
When we declare  (speak or proclaim) the decrees of God we are making it plain and clear to the kingdom of darkness that the Bible is the first and the final authority in all things.
Prophetic decrees from God release God’s purposes and plans in our life.  When we speak God’s Word, we are declaring and decreeing life into our situations.  According to Proverbs 18:2 “life and death are in the power of words”.
