Message for June 30, 2024 from Pastor Shirley

This is a new season for all of us.  

One morning this week I heard the words, “You have not been this way before.”  I remembered these were the words Joshua spoke to the children of Israel.”  The children of Israel were about to cross over into the Promised Land.  Joshua 3:1 gave orders to the people. “When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it.  Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.”  Joshua gave them a plan to move forward – look for the ark and follow it.  He was encouraging the people that they must keep their eyes on the presence of God.  I want to encourage you to keep your focus on God and the truths of the Word.  Follow hard after Him!  Continue to depend on the guidance of Holy Spirit and ask for divine wisdom.  As we do this we will be like God told the prophet Isaiah, “Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, “This is the way, walk in it,  Whenever you turn to the right hand or wherever you turn to the left.”

God called Abram to go and leave all that was familiar and go to the land that God would show him.  God gave Abram the reason to go. “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.  Abraham started walking not knowing where but trusting God would show him the place called there. 

Be determined to move forward and receive the great blessing God has for you at the there place!
