Message for June 2, 2024 from Pastor Shirley

Back in the late eighties and nineties, I devoured the books of Kenneth Hagin Sr.  I don’t remember how I came about even knowing who Brother Hagin was or how I got his books and even acquired a few cassette tapes – But God!  Brother Hagin was the first one who taught me about the supernatural Kingdom of God. The spirit leaped in me confirming what he was teaching was the Word of Truth.  In one of his tapes, Brother Hagin gave a word in tongues and the interpretation; “In the last days God is going to raise up an Elijah Army.”  Church we are in those days!

Isaiah 40:3 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord.  Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”  John 1:23 John the Baptist voices his claim that he is the one that the prophet Isaiah was writing about.  “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord.”  John is called “Elijah” not in a literal sense.  He came in the spirit of and power of Elijah to be a witness of the coming Lord. (Luke 1:17)  He was a forerunner who pointed to the first coming of the Lord.  He went forth ministering in the spirit and power of Elijah.   

I believe the Elijah Army Brother Hagin had spoken about will usher in the second coming of the Lord. This army of millions and millions of believers will go forth in the spirit and power of Elijah in the greatest outpouring of Spirit as we will see the hearts of people will return to God.
