Message for January 26, 2025 from Pastor Shirley

The Scripture tells us in Daniel 2:21  “And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding”.   In the Bible, understanding is the ability to perceive, comprehend, and apply knowledge and wisdom in accordance with God’s will.  When we lack Spiritual understanding it is hard to discern the will of God within seasons of time.  

Tuesday, January 20, 2025 we witnessed the Inauguration of the 47th President of the United States. The newly elected President by no means perfect however he was the people’s choice and I believe God’s choice for such a time as this.                                                       JD Vance the elected Vice President of the United States was raised totally opposite of President Trump.  God saw the bigger purpose to bring these two together to fulfill His will for the United States of America.  God’s Word shows us over and over He can use anyone for His purposes. 

As our Nation  Moves Forward in this new season continue to pray for President Trump, Vice President Vance and their families.  Continue to pray for all the newly elected officials that they may stay humble before God.  

“Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.     1 Timothy 1:2-3            

 “When just leaders are in power, the citizens celebrate; but when evil people gain control, their joys become moans”.    Proverbs 29:2
