Message for January 11, 2026 from Pastor Shirley

Genesis 3:13-15 “Then the Lord God asked the woman, “How could you do such a thing?”  “The serpent tricked me,” she replied. So the Lord God said to the serpent, “This is your punishment: You are singled out from among all the domestic and wild animals of the whole earth—to be cursed. You shall grovel in the dust as long as you live, crawling along on your belly. From now on, you and the woman will be enemies, as will your offspring and hers. You will strike his heel, but he will crush your head.”
KINGDOM DYNAMICS SPIRIT FILLED LIFE BIBLE
The Gospel’s First Proclamation, MESSIAH’S COMING.
This verse contains the first proclamation of the gospel. All of the richness, the mercy, the sorrow, and the glory of God’s redeeming work with man is here in miniature. God promises to bring a Redeemer from the Seed of the woman; He will be completely human yet divinely begotten. “That serpent of old, called the devil,” would war with the Seed (Rev. 12) and would smite Him. But even as the serpent struck at His heel, His foot would descend, crushing the Serpent’s head. In Christ’s life and death, this scripture was fulfilled. Divinely begotten, yet fully human, by His death and resurrection, He has defeated and made a public spectacle of the powers of hell. (Col.2;15). This first Messianic promise is one of the most succinct statements of the gospel to be found anywhere.
Adam’s sin in the fall brought spiritual death and separation from God. But Jesus, the last Adam, came to reverse this thought his cross, restoring humanity’s lost relationship with God, authority, and eternal life, fulfilling God’s redemptive plan to save and renew all things.
Salvation-God’s plan for redemption, restoration, and recovery.
