Message for February 9, 2025 from Pastor ShirleyThe Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. The TPT translation reads, “Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus”.When Paul says “pray without ceasing” he is talking about an attitude of awareness of God. Just like breathing is natural so should an attitude of prayer toward God be natural to the believer.Pray without ceasing is making your life a prayer. It is having a heart inclined towards God. The term “incline” in the Bible often refers to the act of bending or turning one’s ear, heart, or mind towards something, typically in the context of listening, obedience, attentiveness or prayer. In Psalm 40:1-3 David says that when he cried out to God, not only did God listen, but He inclined to him. Praying without ceasing will cause God’s heart to incline toward you. Paul said in all things be thankful. God will have an incline ear to hear a thankful heart of praise.Prayer is not a difficult thing. It is simply talking to God as you would a friend. Prayer is not a one sided conversation. Great communication is two people conversing with one another.Today’s message – “God Knows and Hears Your Voice”. God is our Abba Father and He is eager to hear from you!Comments are closed. |
