The foundation is the FIRST part of the building in construction.  A building’s foundation is crucial because it serves as the primary support structure.  A good built foundation will ensure stability against shifting soil, weather elements, and other external forces;
 1 Corinthians 3;11  “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”
 If you are born again, you are part of the body of Christ or the Ecclesia (church) of God.  Jesus told Peter, “ You are Peter, a stone; and upon this rock I will build my church; and all the powers of hell shall not prevail against it.”
 As born again we have a foundation that we build our lives on.  We can be wise or foolish.  Jesus spoke about others who did not build their buildings or their lives upon the Rock but upon the sand. Matthew  7:26-27  “And every one who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it fell. And its fall was great.”
We must understand it matters upon what foundation (chief cornerstone) or first principles we build our lives.  Building on the sand are those who do not heed God’s word, but what about those who heed his word?    “Whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.  And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded on a rock.”  Matthew  7:24-25
Honor the first fruit – Jesus as the cornerstone meaning that He is the foundation our lives.  He is our light in the darkness-our hope- our joy-our healer-our peace! Build on that.
