Message for April 26, 2026 from Pastor Shirley

I often hear comments about how bad things are. I have never seen so much chaos and troubling things happening in the world.  What is going on?

These are not random events we are seeing.  Jesus already spoke about these as signs of His return in Matthew 24:6. “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, deception, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines, pestilence, earthquakes. All these are the beginning of sorrows. … but see to it that you are not alarmed.  Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”  

Jesus gives a warning in this verse, “But see that you are not troubled.” 

When Jesus talked about the last days he would often say, “do not be afraid.”  So instead of living in fear, live in faith. 

We should talk about what is going on not to bring fear. But to bring awareness to discern the signs so that world events don’t catch us by surprise. 

When times are shifting and the world is shaking, having knowledge of the Word before we can discern what is happening without fear. 

“But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”  Matthew 24:13 

Now more than ever, Seek Jesus. Hold on to His truth. Know the Word. Move forward in faith.
