HOW WE SPEAK THE TRUTH MATTERS TO GOD
“But speaking the truth in love (in all things– expressing His truth), let us grow up in all things into Him (following His example) who is the Head–Christ” (Ephesians 4:15, AMP)
We should never speak the truth sarcastically, in a condescending way, or in pride and arrogance. We should only speak the truth in love. If you don’t know what love is as defined by God, you don’t know what the truth is because the truth is all about His love.
The truth” is heard better delivered in love, and it is received easier in love. Remove love from speaking the truth, and it is like drinking sand. Add love, and it is like enjoying the sweetest honey easing down your mouth.
“How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth” (Psalm 119:103, ESV).
