Message for April 5, 2026 from Pastor Shirley

Matthew 28:1 & 5-8 At the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid! I know you’re looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He’s not here. He has been brought back to life, as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying.  Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has been brought back to life.  He’s going ahead of them into Galilee. There, they will see him. Take note that I have told you.” They hurried away from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to tell his disciples.

The Good News,  “He’s not here, he has been brought to life. He has risen!

Hallelujah, our Savior is alive!    

Because He Lives – God sent His son. They called Him, Jesus; He came to love, heal, and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there To prove my Savior lives!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow!  Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living, Just because He lives! 

How sweet to hold A newborn baby, and feel the pride and joy he brings; But greater still, the calm assurance: This child can face

Uncertain days because He Lives!
