“For God so loved the world” is the opening phrase of John 3:16, one of the most famous verses in the Bible, which states that God loved humanity so deeply that he gave his only Son, Jesus, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
God is the very definition of love. The Word tells us in John 4:8 that God is love, and we can see the evidence of his love in our day-to-day lives and throughout Scripture. You are personally loved by God with an everlasting, unconditional love that does not fade or run out. This love is not based on your actions but on His character.
Romans 8: 38-39 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3
