Message for September 15, 2024 from Pastor Shirley

In this chaotic time in which we are living, I want to encourage you everything is gonna be ok.  Our trust in knowing  God who has never failed. 

 Acts 27: 10-11 “Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also.”   But the centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said, followed the advice of the pilot and of the owner of the ship

Paul and his men were already on the ship.  What else could they do?   Just go along for the ride.

Acts 27: 21-22 “After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.  But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.”

They had not eaten anything and Paul said “you need to eat and get your strength back and take courage.” Paul started eating right in front of them.  They must have seen how Paul was not all stressed about what was going on.  He was encouraged they would all be ok so they all began to eat.

Be encouraged – we all are going to be ok.   Keep trusting in the one who has never failed!
