Message for August 4, 2024 from Pastor Shirley

Welcome to August the eighth month. 

In the Bible, the number eight symbolizes new beginnings.  We can look throughout the Bible and find examples of God’s wonderful beginnings for his people!  

Are you looking for a new beginning?  God is ever ready to give us a fresh start.  “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:18-19 

Could our holding on to the old, dwelling on  the past hinder the new from bursting forth. 

New beginnings offer a chance to break free from old mindsets and renew our hope in God.  When new beginnings break forth – “For you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. The mountains and the hills shall break forth before you with singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12

May this month be filled with abundant blessings, and strengthened faith as we align with God’s will for our lives. God is our God of new beginnings!

 Remember God is for you not against you!  He is waiting for your surrender!
