Message for May 25, 2024 from Pastor Shirley

I get ask from time to time how do you pray to God.  This is my definition of prayer.  A one on one conversation with God.  Putting this simply in three words-talking with God. He is good Father and He longs to hear from His children. There should never be no intimidation when in communion with God.

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Romans 8:34

Hebrews 4:16 tells us, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

This Scripture reminds me I don’t have to bear any burdens because Jesus already bore it all for me at the cross.  I can come in confidence to the throne bringing Him my heart felt concerns knowing He hears me.  He always answers my petition but not always how I thought or even the timing of when.  The more I commune with the Father the more I trust Him.  And it is in that trusting the one who has never ever failed me I can talk with Him.
