Message for March 31, 2024 from Pastor Shirley

The Risen Christ, Our Hope                                                                                                                                                                                            The Easter message demonstrates God’s love for all, and it was shown on the Cross and the power of the Resurrection of our Savior. The Resurrection sealed the promise of what Jesus came to do. 

1 Corinthians 15:12-17 “Now if Christ is preached that He rose from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen. If Christ has not risen, then our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain. Yes, and we would then be found false witnesses of God because we have testified that God raised Christ, whom He did not raise if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ has not been raised. If Christ is not raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins”.

Jesus came to offer Salvation for mankind’s sins and conquer death for us.  He accomplished both.  It is finished (paid in full) were the last words He spoke on the Cross. God’s will for Jesus was accomplished in His perfect obedience to the Father. Most importantly, the power of sin and Satan was finished. 

Yes, the grave is empty!  We do have that blessed hope!

He Paid A Debt
He paid a debt He did not owe, I owed a debt I could not pay, I needed someone to wash my sins away;  And now I sing a brand new song,  Amazing Grace all day long, Christ Jesus paid a debt  That I could never pay.  He paid a debt at Calvary, He cleansed my soul, and set me free, I’m glad that Jesus did all my sins erased.  I now can sing a brand new song, Amazing Grace all day long,  Christ Jesus paid a debt That I could never pay.
