From DARE TO BELIEVE by Becky Dvorak

HOW TO RECEIVE HEALING (Necessary changes of the heart)  p. 109-111

Many people are not correctly positioned in their hearts to receive healing.  The Lord gave me the following list in a dream of the attitudes of that heart that we need to cultivate. I believe it will help and bless you.

     1.  We need to be humble.  Luke 8:41

     2.  We need to seek.  Luke 5:12-13

     3.  W need to press Into His Presence.  Luke 8:43-48

     4.  We need to be fully persuaded.  Romans 4:13-22

     5.  We need to judge God faithful.  Heb. 11:11

     6.  We need to be obedient.  2 Kings 5:1-14

7  We need to put our faith into action.  Luke 6:6-10

     8.  We may need to find support.  Luke 5:17-26

*”The Word of God must be a mainstay to those seeking divine healing.  In it we find God’s truth about His will and purpose and about the situations in our lives.  Only in His Word do we find an accurate lens through which to see life.” Becky D.

Message for October 21, 2012 from Pastor Tim

Just today I read a daily devotion called “The Hardest Part of Faith,” written by the late David Wilkerson. In it he spoke of a lesson he learned from his Father very early on, when his father told him, “Son, the hardest part of faith is always the last half hour. When you feel like giving up; when you feel that your life is off track; when you don’t hear from God anymore, just hold on- because the last half hour is the hardest part of Faith.”

I truly believe this church is in the “Last Half Hour,” and if we will not only just “Hang On,” but push forward, then the breakthrough will come, God’s Power will fill the church again, and lives will be changed. We must pray like never before, seek God’s guidance in all that we do, and push through, NO- Pray through like they used to in the Good ole’ days.

Are You up to it? Will you humble yourself for the good of your Church, your family, and yourself? We will be conducting a 12 Hour Prayer vigil next Friday, from 7AM-7PM, here at the church. We are calling on you to commit to one hour, here at the church. Praying for our Pastor, our Church, and for God to pour His spirit out on this Healing Conference, that lives will be changed, people healed and souls set free through the Holy Spirit of God.

There will be a sign up sheet in the Foyer- PLEASE don’t just Blow this off- We need you to participate- One Hour……Remember what Jesus said to his disciples when he Prayed in the Garden…..”COULD YOU NOT TARRY ONE HOUR”? Please Honor your Pastors and Sign Up.

Message for October 14, 2012 from Pastor Jerry

Acts 19:11-12  “God did powerful things through Paul, things quite out of the ordinary.  The word got around and people started taking pieces of clothing–handkerchiefs and scarves and the like–that had touched Paul’s skin and then touching the sick with them.  The touch did it–they were healed and whole.”  (Message Bible)

A church doesn’t have a wonderful, anointed meeting with the gifts of the Spirit flowing and miracles and healings taking place just because they schedule it.     Usually an anointed speaker can bring the Word of God to a meeting and it will minister and a return on that Word preached comes forth when the people have paid a price to prepare themselves spiritually for the services.

Several Sundays ago we ask New Life Church to “fast” something and spend that time praying for the Virtuous Woman’s meetings and the healing service on that Sunday.  This is between you and God what you fast.

Another thing we have asked you to do is invite someone to come.   Invite people to the Saturday and Sunday meetings.

As a way of concentrating on specific things we want God to do for New Life on that weekend we are asking that you do something else this morning.   During the service you will be given what we call a “prayer cloth” and a pen.   On this prayer cloth we want you to be very specific about what you want God to do by the end of October for you.   It could be a miracle of healing for yourself or someone else.   It could be a miracle of provision–finances or a job.   It might even be a miracle of salvation for someone.   Please write your specific need on this cloth.  Don’t try to write five or ten.   Get specific.  “What do I need right now?”

Finally, we ask that you really believe and anticipate a great move of God is this place every day and especially on the weekend of October 27-28.  Pray for Becky Dvorak–her health, her traveling–and that God gives her a word just for us at New Life for the Nations.

The atmosphere of expectancy is the breeding ground for miracles.

“The atmosphere of expectancy is the breeding ground for miracles.”   (Pastor Rod Parsley)

Several months ago I wrote on the following scripture from  Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
This scripture follows the passage where Paul talks about sowing seeds.  We all sow seeds whether seeds that will reap a good harvest of good choices or seeds that will reap a harvest of poor choices where we do whatever the flesh wants to do.
The NKJV says the key is waiting for the good harvest to come from the good seed we have sown.   The words, in due season, could mean a quick return or a return that might not take place for years.  Yet we can count on three things.
1.  God will cause a harvest to come from our seeds.
2.  God is never early or late–He is always right on time with our best interests at heart.
3.  Our harvest will have the same nature as our seeds sown:  good seeds brings good harvests. bad seeds bring bad harvests.
A year ago in the month of October we asked you to sow seeds of time, money, prayer, and faith in New Life for the Nations.   We asked you to give 1 % or one hour a week to work in the ministry of New Life.  Some of you dedicated yourself to doing this, and we are seeing the wonderful harvest of better attendance to services, finances increasing for the church, and people growing spiritually because of the seeds of love and the Word being sown in their lives.
What are you willing to do this year?   There are needs to be filled at church that you can do.
1.  Singers/Musicians needed for the Praise Team.
2.   Substitute teachers needed for the different classes so each teacher will have one Sunday a month to sit in the regular services.
3.   Weekly housekeeping chores to be done.
4.   Prayer warriors for Prayer Force.
5.   Faithfulness in giving your tithes and offerings.
Don’t get “tired” and quit because you are not seeing all the fruit you want to see from your seed.
It will come!!!! Don’t Quit!!!

Message for October 7, 2012 from Pastor Jerry

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them.”  Psalm 34:7 NKJV

Ever think much about angels?   I mean other than they might exist and sing songs in heaven?   I don’t exactly know why I felt impressed to talk about angels, but I believe I an supposed to.

According to the above verse, angels are meant to watch after us and take care of us.  Angels are important to us in our life on earth, and we should take their existence and purpose serious as we read God’s word.  Angels are more than “heavenly gatekeepers” guarding heavenly territory.  They have been assigned to minister to God’s people.

The writer of Hebrews says of angels in Hebrews 1:14, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation.”   Angels are unseen agents (most of the time) that work on our behalf in situations and circumstances that affect us every day.  You never know what they may be doing.  Don’t sell them short.

Several years ago when our son Scott’s house was struck by lightning and caught fire, a man in a service truck came and shut off his gas meter.  The fire chief said that act saved the house.   However, no one knows to this day who did it or where he came from.  No one from the utilities company ever took credit.  Who was the mysterious service man? Could he have been an angel on assignment?

“For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.”  Psalm 91:11  Bible scholars, including Dr. Billy Graham, believe we each have guardian angels assigned to protect us.  We are said to be “under His wings.”  Could this be speaking of  our guardian angels’ wings which protectively cover us to keep us from falling, getting lost, or stumbling into unknown dangers in the unseen realm of the spirit?

Take the ministry of angels seriously.  After all, the scripture does say we may  encounter them.  “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. “  Hebrews 13:2 (NKJV)  What could angels do for you?   You never know!!!
